Hurry Up!
  • Are you in love with the Montessori philosophy but feel stuck when it comes to actually starting?
  • Are you short on time so you feel bogged down with all the information available, so you’re not sure where or how to start?
  • Do you want to take a course or program but the ones you have looked at require too much time and/or are too expensive?

If you answered yes to any of the above, you are in the right place.

The 3 Biggest Problems Parents Face When Starting Their Montessori Journey

Most Montessori courses, whether online or at school, take a year to complete. Some even require classroom internship. That is a whole year or more that your child is missing out because you’re still learning!

All that time where you have your nose stuck in a book or doing course research could be spent actually putting together the activities that your child needs now.

We are not knocking these programs. They are great if your long-term goal is to become a Montessori teacher. But for most moms, a year-long program when you have little ones underfoot, when you need the information now, it just doesn’t fit the bill. Do you agree?

Obviously these long-term training programs are indepth and not only take a big time commitment but also a big financial one, many costing hundreds if not thousands of dollars.

We know that such a large financial commitment is hard, especially in the current economy. We found that many of our moms are SAHM, work part time and/or are single moms who simply don’t have a spare couple of thousand dollars lying around!

So we wanted to make Montessori Crash Course affordable to everyone.

So, you Google Montessori and a ton of pages come up, you start reading, clicking links, taking notes, visiting blogs, adding things to your Pinterest board and before you know if you have lost 3 hours, have nothing tangible to show for it and you are still at a loss on how to get started.

Sound familiar?

Wouldn’t it be great if you could have all the information you need to get started bundled together in a digestible format ... so you understand the why, you totally get the how and all you have to do is implement it?

The Workshops

Workshop #1
The Montessori Philosophy In A Nutshell – What you need to know

Discover how to present lessons and activities your child will love so that your child is learning what he or she needs, when he or she needs it.

Your child will be motivated from within, allowing the child the freedom to learn about what he or she is interested in, which leads to a deeper learning level and self motivation.

Help your child become more independent, both physically and mentally so that he or she is self disciplined, passionate, responsible, empathetic and happy and is able to contribute to the community

Understand how a child learns so you can provide the right activity at the right time. There will be no need to fight with your child over drill books … your child will love what he or she is learning.

Learn how to teach the concrete ideas first so the abstract ones are grasped easily. No more tears over long division!

Be able to support your child, cutting down on tantrums and bad behavior. Learn to support him or her in the right way so that he or she can recognize something is wrong and how to handle it before it becomes an issue. This is a life skill every child should learn.

Any parent who is new to Montessori could benefit from the course. It is not overwhelming, easy to understand and easy to implement. I would definitely recommend the course. I would like to thank Deb and Jo for taking the time to put together so much information to help parents apply Montessori principles at home. I really enjoyed this course.

Workshop # 2
The Montessori Home  – The practicalities

Find out how to set up your home so it works for ALL family members (making your life easier!).

If you don’t have a fully functional home it can be detrimental to your child’s development, preventing your child from learning the simplest of tasks such as fixing a snack or cleaning up after him- or herself. We are sure you want your child to eventually leave home capable of looking after him- or herself.

Discover how to put an end to your child constantly asking for your help: mommy get me this, mommy I want that! If this is not dealt with you will end up raising a child who always looks to other people for help and who lacks the courage to do things for him- or herself.

Discover simple and easily applied ways to help your child become more independent which cuts down on behavioral problems and leads to better communication and a child who actually listens to what you say.

Embrace how to set up your home so that it works for YOUR family. This is not a one-size-fits-all solution. What you need are solutions for YOUR family and YOUR home.

Before starting the course I was a little intimidated. I had seen so many great things online, but didn't know where to begin. Now I have so much more information! I have told my friends about Montessori Crash Course! I told them it is the perfect thing if they are on the fence about Montessori, it's a great resource!

Workshop # 3
Montessori Activities  – Getting started

Stop feeling guilty because you can’t provide everything a classroom does but feel great knowing that you can provide everything your child needs!

Understand that it’s not all about the expensive materials and that you can easily adapt the Montessori method for your budget.

You will understand  the reason behind the activities so that you can be confident in presenting them to your child, knowing that you are following your child’s lead and giving your child what he or she needs. You will be encouraging a lifelong love of learning – the key element of successful people.

This course was great timing for me as I was getting really curious about Montessori. I still have lots to learn but feel like I know where to go to find the answers I need now.

Workshop # 4
Trouble Shooting  – What to do when it’s not working

We know that sometimes everything is going great but then something goes wrong and you don’t know how to fix it. In this workshop we will tackle the most common problems and give you ways to fix them, or better still avoid them! For example:

How to handle younger siblings so that all your kids can learn and develop at their own pace.

How to praise your child so that he or she becomes a confident learner but not a narcissistic horror.

How to support your child who is at Montessori school so that you are not undoing the good work done at school and instead supplementing what he or she is learning, the right way.

How to stay consistent with implementing Montessori and creating activities by understanding how easy it is to put an activity together and how to use toys your child already owns in a Montessori way.

What to do when your child doesn’t complete the activity or misuses the equipment so that you can nip any issues in the bud before they become bigger problems. You will be able to spot the tell-tale signs

How to deal with family members who don’t ‘get it’ so that you are all on the same page, with your child’s best interest at heart.

How to start with an older child (if you only just discovered Montessori and you don’t have a baby). Even if you are starting a bit late it’s certainly not too late to raise your child in a Montessori environment. He or she can still reap the benefits of Montessori and will carry them with him or her through to adulthood.

Would I recommend Montessori Crash Course to a friend?
Definitely! If she's keen to be a Montessori family it is essential to make sure you are on track, to be able to ask your questions, share with others and hear their questions and experiences. Great value for money!

In just 4 short weeks of taking
Montessori Crash Course:

  • You will know how to set up activities, knowing what their true function is and how they will help your child (strengthening pincer muscles, pre-reading skills, brain-muscle connections etc.)
  • You will know how to deal with common problems (for example, when a child doesn’t complete an activity or is not interested with the work on the shelf).
  • You will have the peace of mind knowing that you are giving your child a foundation in Montessori which you believe deep in your heart is the best thing for your child.
  • You will also benefit from having a Montessori child at home, a child who is more thoughtful, kind, considerate and helpful. Which has the knock-on effect of cutting down on fights, arguments and family bickering!
  • Your home will become calmer and a more pleasant place to be as your child learns to tidy up after him- or herself, putting away toys and helping with jobs such as the laundry.
  • Your child will feel calmer (and so will you). When you are living in chaos, your mind and body feels chaotic. If you change your environment to a calmer place, your mind and body follows.

Who Are We?

This is Deb Chitwood. She is highly qualified in the Montessori and Early Childhood Education field with bachelors and masters degrees and numerous Montessori certifications.
She taught at Montessori schools before opening her own school in 1980 and she also homeschooled her own children through high school.
With all that experience and education, what Deb doesn’t know probably isn’t worth knowing! You will know her from blog Living Montessori Now.

With all that experience and education, what Deb doesn’t know probably isn’t worth knowing! You will know her from

And this is Jo Ebisujima author of Montessori Inspired Activities For Pre-Schoolers. And I was where you are 11 years ago.

I was desperate to learn more about Montessori, I had limited time and funds, lived in a tiny apartment in Japan (so limited space too) and we had no Montessori school nearby. I was on my own but knew deep in my heart that Montessori was right for my family.

So I took Montessori training, taught for a while in a bilingual Montessori school that opened not long after and also wrote the best selling book Montessori Inspired Activities For Pre-Schoolers

Most importantly, I discovered that Montessori isn't just about the classroom, it's about a lifestyle.

Between us we have 60+ years of teaching experience, so you know you’re in good hands

I really liked the discussion on facebook, Deb's and Jo's sharing of experiences...certainly helps that they're both veteran homeschoolers.

For me, the sections on setting up my home in the Montessori manner and observing my kids closely was very helpful.

If you are not blown away by this program and do not see fast results, just let us know and we’ll happily refund your investment!

The most beneficial parts of the program, for me, was the ability to dialogue about the information being provided as well as being provided with tried and true resources. Trying to trudge through the internets trove of information can be daunting and misguiding; but being able to talk to experts and other moms on the same Montessori journey makes it much more likely to find actual helpful information.

Once I have signed up, can I take the classes at any time? +

Yes! You can watch the workshops at your own pace and in your own time. You are free to go back and watch them again at any time you like, too. The workshops were originally record over 4 weeks, so you can use them as weekly classes or binge watch. Of course they are available for you to go back and watch again whenever you need to.

Are the workshops live? +

No they are recordings of the training we did the first time we ran the program.

Will I be able to ask Deb and Jo questions? +

Yes! We set up an exclusive Facebook group for members only. We are in there every day, so you can ask questions and we can help solve your problems. It’s a lovely supportive community, and you can expect help from other parents (and grandparents), too.

Does the Montessori Crash Course include the albums? +

No. But we will be including a ‘next step’ guide for those who want to delve in deeper with their learning.

Can I become a Montessori teacher after taking this course +

No. This is not a teacher training program. This course is intended for overwhelmed parents who want a quick and easy way to get started with Montessori at home.

My child is in Montessori school, I’m not a homeschooler, is this course suitable for me? +

Yes! We know many parents want to support their child at home but worry about ‘screwing up.' By taking this course, you will understand the fundamental philosophies equipping you to raise your child in a Montessori home, which in turn will support him or her at school. (And the teacher will love you, too, because you won’t be undoing all her hard work!)

What I found really helpful was being able to get questions answered. Because knowing that one of you (or both) will be looking over the questions and offering suggestions and feedback was super valuable.

Deb Klein

What did I love? Honestly? Everything! Everything ties into one another. I love the webcast videos, I love being able to post in the FB group to get feedback or ideas.

I LOVE the facebook group! The lectures were great, but nothing beats being able to ask specific, personal questions and having them answered by people who know what they're talking about! It was the main reason I signed up for the course.

Having two experts to ask questions and also seeing other people's photos and questions. Overview of philosophy and major ideas was very helpful.
